Missed Appointments

In July 2017 100 patients failed to attend appointments. This is the equivalent of almost 17 hours lost of consultation time.

This leads to:

1)  Longer waiting times for appointments

2)  Frustration for both patients and staff and is a waste of resources.

Practice Boundary Change

As of 1st December 2013 our practice boundary has been adjusted to include PA7 postcodes only.  Patients registered at Bishopton Medical Practice currently living within the PA8 and PA4 postcode areas will be kept on the list at their current address.  However anyone moving to a new address within PA8 and PA4 will be required to register at a more local practice.  This applies whether it is people moving into the area or who are currently patients of Bishopton Medical Practice.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Waiting Room

Since our waiting room was refurbished by the Health Board last year various issues have been appropriately raised by staff and patients:

Lack of confidentiality - draught excluders have been fitted to all clinical rooms and the general seating has been rearranged as far as is practically possible away from the Consulting Room doors.

Unwelcoming atmosphere - Unfortunately due to Control of Infection Regulations we are no longer allowed toys or magazines in the waiting room, however we have obtained a radio licence and radio for your enjoyment.

If you are aware of any other issues or have any suggestions then please let the Reception Staff know.

Hoax Calls

Please Note - One of our patients, has received a hoax call from a Mr Valdine from Souza Health Care, claiming to be carrying out a survey on behalf of Bishopton Medical Practice. This is a HOAX the phone number is 02037143442. Please do not give this caller any personal details.
