Friday Appointment changes

We are changing how our appointment system operates on a Friday. For more information on this, please click the "Appointments" tab at the top of the page and select "Friday appointment changes".


Vaccine update 25/11/19

 

Vaccines are now available for Adult Flu, Child Flu* and shingles for those who are eligible.

*Please note there is a limited availablitly of stock for Child Flu at present and therefore, children who have missed this vaccine in school will only be offered it here if they fall into an "at risk" category. We should have an update on this situation by the New Year for children who are not "at risk".

Test Results

Test Results

When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and only call the surgery after sufficient time has elapsed.

Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor if advised to do so.

Please call after 11am to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request after this time.

The doctors are unfortunately not routinely able to directly telephone patients for normal test results; the practice policy is that for normal test results we would not ordinarily contact a patient. For abnormal results requiring action we would always make our best attempts to get in contact with the patient concerned.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we are only able to release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

Please allow 14 days for blood, urine and stool samples and four weeks for smear tests.
