New Registrations

In a further bid to minimise the amount of people attending the practice, any new patients wishing to register, please download registration forms from our website and post this to us, along with a copy of your proof of address.

This option will only be in place during the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic and providing you reside within the PA7 post code area.

For patients moving from Erskine or Inchinnan, you are asked to remain at your current practice until the pandemic has resolved.


CORONAVIRUS

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY IF YOU HAVE A COUGH,SORE THROAT, FEVER OR ANY OTHER SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS.

Please note the following changes due to the ongoing situation with Coronavirus

  •       To reduce the risk of Coronavirus transmission we would now ask that requests are      made via our online prescriptions service or our telephone prescription service.
  •       We will now be sending all prescriptions directly to your chosen pharmacy,      or bishopton pharmacy where no option has been selected. 
  • Bishopton Pharmacy are operating temporary working hours as follows: Monday - Friday 9.30-5.30pm and Saturday 9-1pm.
  • Please allow 3-4 days when ordering Prescriptions rather than 48 hours. Increased demand and current pressures are causing delays unfortunately.
  • The surgery are unable to provide sick notes for self isolation due to Coronavirus. A letter to employers for those patients who are self isolating as per Government guidelines can be found here - https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note .

CORONAVIRUS GUIDANCE

COVID-19 GUIDANCE

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19

If you have developed a new continuous cough and/or fever/high temperature in the last 7 days, stay at home for 7 days from the start of your symptoms, even if you think your symptoms are mild. DO NOT go to your GP, pharmacy or hospital.

Phone NHS24 (111) if your symptoms:

  • have not improved after 7 days
  • are severe or you have shortness of breath
  • worsen during home isolation

You should also phone NHS 24 (111) if you develop breathlessness or it worsens, especially if you :

  • are 60 years old or over
  • have underlying poor health
  • have heart or lung problems
  • have a weakened immune system, including cancer
  • have diabetes

If you have a medical emergency, phone 999 and tell them you have CODI-19 symptoms.

Bishopton Medical Practice was opened in 1977 and built for a three-doctor practice. 

As Bishopton and Erskine have expanded, our practice has grown considerably and now includes seven General Practitioners, two specialist nurses, one healthcare assistant and a team of ancillary and administrative staff. We are committed to providing high quality medical care for our patients. The Bishopton Medical Practice is not a Limited Company. The Practice is now an accredited training practice and we will have a GP Registrar working with us at various times throughout the year.

We are confident that our website will provide  clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.
